Waterway

This was a lot of fun to work on. In my Wednesday evening class with Heather Barrows we were working on abstracting forms from photographs. The emphasis on color and light and dark became more important in this painting then the details of the marsh.

I had been looking at a lot of Janet Fish still lifes when I painted this. The lower pomegranite is my favorite and I think the pear needs a little work to match, plus, I want to work on the vase.

The Little Tractor

This painting is not finished but I like how it looks, even if the figures are a bit eery. I'll post some updates as it develops further. The little tractor is hidden behind me and my mom.
